Community Artist Spotlight enter image description here Greetings Guardians! Our community has many talented and skilled Guardians in it, some of those Guardians are artists. Each week we will showcase some works of art created by one of our very talented artists in the Destiny community. This week, our spotlight goes out to a Guardian that has been playing Destiny since the day it released. After playing, and enjoying the game itself, seeing all the beauty in game and uniqueness of the characters decided to buy the game and it has been her favorite ever since. AlisiaRose( a Voidwalker Warlock class Guardian) is an exceptionally talented artist in our community, who is also a member of the DCA (Destiny Community Artist) with so many other truly talented artists. AlisiaRose began drawing as a child with the love and support from her grandmother who herself was a artist and painter. Her grandmother got her started with "how to draw" books and giving her all the supplies she needed to help discover young AlisiaRoses' creative side " I would sketch characters from my favorite movies, tv shows, video games; anything that had inspired me". After having the support finding her creative artistic side by her family growing up "when I started college, I decided I wanted to become a Studio Art Major and learn some disciplines to improve with my art style." enter image description here When working with traditional art supplies, her favorite mediums are pencil, ink, and charcoal. Having a unmistakable style with her art, AlisiaRose is truly a skilled and brilliant artist. Creating beautiful pieces of art that each piece she makes is amazing as your eyes dance across each piece she creates. After AlisiaRose earned her AA(associate degree), she decided to try digital art with her iPad Pro and like playing Destiny, hasn't put it down since. All of her artwork is now digital but she still uses the techniques that she learned while studying studio art. Creating Destiny fan art in the community since January of this year her work can be seen all over the community now and social media. AlisiaRose brings each piece to life with incredible detail and highlights in her art that makes each piece pop with excitement. Asking AlisiaRose what her favorite part of creating Destiny fan art was she said "My favorite part about creating destiny fan art has to be when I draw someone’s own guardian. Most of the people that I have drawn for, really love the characters they have played for all these years. They are just like me who have named them or even gave them their own story. I try my best to bring movement and life to the character while staying true to how they see their guardian. Seeing their reactions when I send them the finished image is what I enjoy the most. It makes me happy to see I was able to bring their vision to life and celebrate their guardian through my artwork". enter image description here As amazing as AlisisRoses' art is its even more amazing tuning into her Twitch streams to watch as she creates each piece live. Watching her work on her art on stream is a warm and inviting time as she chats with all those tuning in, as you watch each piece come to life. The Destiny community is lucky to have such a skilled, talented artist in its community as her art grows and friendships are made in the community. She creates each piece herself but asking if she would in the future do a collaboration piece with another artist in the community AlisiaRose said " I would love to do a collab with any artist, especially anyone through DCA. I’ve honestly have been to shy to ask anyone". We all look forward to more works from AlisiaRose in the future as her style and talent is a highlight to just how amazing our community is.
