Is this normal? Is there a consistent difference? Was trying to do a speed run but got vastly different numbers.

Can you provide a link to an example or a screenshot?

Sure thing. This game says completion time is 8min 2s.

But the end of game stats say 07min and 23s.

It may be adding the intro or end stats screen time into completion time on accident. Just a thought

Could be the case. That would create a huge variance for the speed runs.

Hmm, unfortunately Bungie doesn't add completion time stamps to the mission rns on THEIR stats pages at bungie.net, so there is no way to compare. That said, what Morarn said is most likely the case. We pull our stats and times directly from bungie.net, so this discrepancy is on their end. I bet that if their stats/mission page on bungie.net had a completion time listed, it would match what we show here.
