DTR Exotic bounties

Hello, Guardians. Recently, you must’ve been lucky enough to receive what’s known as an “Exotic Bounty.” And you’re probably wondering “What’s this for? How do I complete it? How do I get one?” Well, ask no more. This guide will answer and explain all of those questions.

Exotic bounties are special, rare and unique bounties you can obtain in Destiny. Each one has their own unique and difficult challenges, but are guaranteed to net you an Exotic weapon. Each time you turn in a bounty (any Bounty, such as Vanguard, Crucible, etc) you will have a small chance to receive a Vanguard Mentor Missive. This will permit you to choose between 3 randomly selected Exotic bounties. Below are the known available Exotic bounties, and how to complete them.

Toland's Legacy is not 25 strikes. It is 25 fragments. Nightfall and Weekly strikes grant more than one fragment. I think it's 3 for the Nightfall, not sure about the weekly. And for the PvP section of that bounty, Warlocks grant bonus points.

This is true, Nightfall grants 3 fragments. I believe weekly heroic on 28 is also 3 but i can't be sure of that.

I believe that the Invective is. For the strikes just face The Nexus 5 times. It took two games for the 25 kd one and the rest were easy.

I think the easiest to get was Super Good Advice. I have done Bad JuJu and Invective, and while they aren't too difficult to obtain the different levels, doing a quick chest run on Mars and killing 500 enemies with a machine gun was a breeze.

yeah, 5 strikes without dying is a tough order for me. Only way I could do Nexus without dying is hiding in a particular spot and being of no use to my team at all. lol

When I had to do the 5 strikes without dying I just ran Sepiks Prime on the regular level 7.

So far, Invective was definitely the easiest...bad Juju seems pretty easy so far just...so time consuming. lol
Thanks for the info on the shards though, should make it a lot less of a grind doing the juju which I'm currently working on.

Just a little note, on A Dubious Task, it takes 2 deaths to lose a point. I've confirmed this with my friend who also has finished this bounty.

Nah it's definitely -1 point per death, I got stuck on this part for ages (on Control) so I was painfully aware of what each death meant. I found that Clash is the best activity for this.

It should however be noted that an assist counts as +1 point.

With Invective you don't have to buy 50 ammo packs when you get to that part. You just need to have 50 special ammo packs in your inventory.

Yes, this is worth noting. For the sake of clarity, it should probably be changed to say something like "Acquire 50 special ammo packs...etc."

And how is suposed that I get Toland's journal. It's random? At what level. I'm barely level 25.
