Raids and Nightfall Missions

In the latest news post from IGN and Bungie studios we've found out a lot more information about end game PvE content.

Some of the most important details is summed up below:

6 man raids will have no matchmaking ability

You are required to have 5 friends to generate a fireteam of 6 members to take on the raid, you cannot just sign up for the mission and run it with randoms. So if you're hoping to PvE, you need to find 5 people on you system to play with.

Bungie: Luke Smith said:Raids are “extremely crafted,” six-player, friends-only gauntlet runs that might best be described as gut-checks. Yes, they will be difficult, and they will absolutely require communication and cooperation. That’s why Bungie isn’t supporting matchmaking for them; the developers don’t want them to be played by disparate groups of strangers.

Strikes have a level limits, but raids don't

A level 20 strike will generally have a level limit of 20 mobs. However a level 26 raid doesn't just have a limit of level 26 mobs, infact the plan is to generate harder and harder scenarios to battle.

Bungie: Luke Smith said:In a raid, when the raid begins at level 25, it's not where it ends. Like part of going the raid is the journey of gearing up; building your arsenal to react to the situations that it's going to ask you to go through.

Nightfall activities are daily and weekly

They will give some amazing rewards, but be incredibly hard in their own rights and will need your friends to pick apart.

Bungie: Luke Smith said:So if you're a fresh level 20 you can play the Nightfall daily activity at level 22 and it's going to be hard. It's going to be challenging. But you can get through it, maybe. Maybe if you have some friends. The weekly Nightfall activity is something that pushes all the way out as far as the leveling allows you to go in Destiny. So it ends up occupying at the far end of the spectrum: this extremely high gameplay investment challenge. Like it's both the toughest guys we can throw at you that's going to require the best gear, and it's going to have a bunch of modifiers on it that make it even harder.

RIP Destiny Beta. Until we meet again.

It is with heavy hearts and many tears that we say goodbye to the Destiny beta. Many great times were had by all, and many feel that this will go down as one of the most memorable Beta experiences to date. While we look back on the amazing moments had, we can take comfort in knowing that we are merely 6 weeks away from the full retail release of Destiny. We can take some solace in knowing that we greatly assisted Bungie in play and stress testing their servers and in-game glitches. These are all things that will help Bungie master their art for the full retail release of the game. We at DestinyTracker would like to thank fans from both the Xbox and Playstation communities for helping us Beta test our stat-tracking site. We couldn't have done it without you and rest assured, like Bungie, we have many great things in store for you come 9/9/14.

Destiny PvP Info

If you're like me, you hopped into The Crucible and were overwhelmed with the details of the game. There is a lot to know, in order to be effective in combat. I found this video and thought I'd share, it was really helpful in explaining the classes, the guns, and the powers.

What is your favorite class, and why?
