If there's one thing that players in Destiny 2 love, it's consistent and fun end-game content. Considering many Guardians grind their way through newly released content quite quickly, as with any MMO-styled game, most of their time on the titles is spent replaying end-game content like Raids, boss battles, and in Destiny's case mission runs in Strikes.

It's fair to say Bungie's released content in the past months has not lived up to the expectations of the community when it comes to that end-game content, however. The Curse of Osiris expansion that dropped early on in the post-release life of Destiny left a bitter taste in many players' mouths, with their money going towards easily finished content that added very little to the game's overall lifespan.

One forum user on Bungie.net has taken up the cry for the game's newest content, however - make the Infinite Forest levels into a proper end-game experience.

"I believe we can all agree that the Osiris ex-pac had no end-game activity, and that was a bit disappointing," forum user Ucalvert said in a recent post.

"It's not too late. This Halloween and Spring activity in the Infinity Forest is amazing. How about we make it permanent?"

The post on B.net's user forums suggested that Year 2 Mercury-based weapons could be the end-game rewards, with new perks and random rolls added on to the drops. Many miss the unique designs of the Mercury weapons, and Ucalvert believes it would be "nice to have them back".

A host of comments supported the idea, with some even suggesting Bungie had hit the nail on the head with the most recent Forest release.

"I wasn't a fan of the last Forest activity that was released, but I really like this one," LostMaPants said in a comment reply to the initial suggestion post. "Just reached [level] 60 while being matched with other solos, and smashed all five bosses.

"Not sure it was really worth all the time it took to get there, to be honest, but I'm happy that I got that far. Could have gone a little further if I didn't choke and Titan smash off the edge of a few times.

"I love PvP, but I've played this mode for weeks straight now, and just want to mess around with some of the buffs in the next few weeks in the PvE modes."

Overall, the mode seems to be a major hit, especially considering it's bringing player-vs-player Guardians into the vs-enemy modes that Bungie love to push.

Although a few Guardians did voice their concern that the game mode was "boring", and one particularly disgruntled user even suggested the Forest release and people enjoying it was the reason "Destiny was dying", most said they were in love with the potential end-game content.

"Bring back the Halloween version and the new version together, rename them to something more neutral, and put them on the weekly rotation," one user said in an almost-closing statement-like remark. "Add in randomly rolled versions of the prophecy weapons to the bosses, and the Mercury armours, and it's all good."

What do you think - should Bungie slot in the Forest missions as more end-game content? Or have you not been a fan of the seasonal adventures into the new game mode?
