There are certain "quality of life" changes we expect to see in a sequel. These are little changes with lasting impacts on the way a game is played. One such change was announced on twitter.

In Destiny 1, players leveled up their gear by decrypting engrams acquired through gameplay. Engrams decrypted slightly higher than your current max light. The pain was players had to equip all their best gear every time they visited the Cryptarch to decrypt engrams in order to ensure they got higher light gear. Thanks to the new change, that is no longer the case! Those "Doh!" moments we've all had where we quickly decrypted engrams only to get lower light gear than we wanted because we forgot that step, are a thing of the past. Hallelujah, thank you, Bungie!
