Content Creator Spotlight - Thornd enter image description here The Destiny community is full of talented Guardians. The Content Creators are a huge part of the community and put so much time and effort into bringing something special to the community. DTR (destiny tracker) wants to shine the spotlight of some of the content creators in the community to recognize them for all the hardwork they do, day in and day out, on stream and in the community. This week our community content creator is a person that has been a player, a community manager, a director, a streamer, a supporter, pretty much everything except content creation on YouTube. Th0rnd has been playing Destiny since the Beta, maining a Hunter class Guardian and has been an active supporter of the community ever since. Th0rnd has recently guest host on the Emmmmsie podcast but also was a host of a community podcast himself "the podcast came about as myself and a couple friends thought it was a good thing to support our community. I fell in love with hosting/co-hosting podcasts from then on. I would certainly do another and have a few ideas in the works". Being a active member of the community, Th0rnd has always been willing to help others to the best of his knowledge and have a positive upbeat attitude with every conversation he engages in. Th0rnd has this past year been helping those in the community with a interest in streaming with teaching/showing those Guardians how to build their own stream. Asking Th0rnd what advice he would give to a Guardian just starting out streaming "The number one thing I would tell a person just starting out is: "Don't pay attention to the numbers!" It takes a long time to build a stream, even longer to build a community within your stream. If you get caught up in the numbers early on, you'll spiral down and have a hard time enjoying the best parts of streaming. The second piece of advice I have is to network. One of the best ways to grow is to support others. Hop into other streams, chat up the streamer AND the other viewers, and you'll grow soon enough". Not being a flashy streamer, Th0rnd just likes to have fun and share a few laughs. To him interaction is more important than accomplishments in a game, growing his own community he calls "Misfit Island". It's a long road to be a streamer, but in the immediate future he will continue to grow, help and support others along the way, and enjoy the whole process and the people he meets in the community. enter image description here Th0rnd accomplishes so much with helping others in the community learn how to build a stream of their own and is a perfect example that you don't need to break the bank in order to stream. Streaming on a low-end store bought PC does not keep this Content Creator from streaming almost every night or from helping others build a stream set up for every budget. Always looking to improve his own set-up he has been saving for his ideal streaming rig for the fun of building your own PC and to expand his streaming to include PC games as well. It is inspiring to have a member of the community like Th0rnd that takes the time to help and show others how to accomplish something some may have thought they never could. Th0rnd also has streamed for many charity events in the Destiny community. He has streamed for Autism Awareness, Operation Supply Drop, Stack Up to name just a few and is streaming for the Trevor Project next week. He has also donated to many charity events in the community, having a larger than life heart for helping others and showing others why the Destiny community is unlike any other. Being a family man on top of creating content and helping others in the community, Th0rnd has four kids; two step daughters, 23 and 20, and two sons, 12 and 7 with the three youngest that all play video games its incredible what he accomplishes each day. enter image description here

With our community constantly growing its amazing having content creators like Th0rnd that are positive and take the time for others to be a teacher and inspire others in the process. I asked Th0rnd what he liked about the Destiny community and what highlights he has had so far with his time in the community so far, Th0rnd replied "I like that the Destiny community is honest. If they don't like something about the game, they are sure to let the developers know it. Overall, I think this honest assessment keeps the developers honest, and makes the game better. Highlights i would say the charity events I have been a part of have been a great highlight. I've also made a couple of really good friends in the process, and I was able to go to E3 in 2016 which was eye-opening". Lastly I asked what does he enjoy most about Destiny 2, Th0rnd replied excitedly with a big smile "Story, story, story!!! I need to know who the stranger is and why she helped us. Why is the traveler awake now and what does that mean?". You can find Th0rnd on Twitter at Twitter.com/Th0rNd and on his stream channel on Twitch at twitch.tv/th0rnd and always thanks for reading, til next time Guardians!.
