Welcome Back Guardians! Kicking off our Weekend in Destiny 2 with a visit from our shadowy and reclusive vendor, Xur. Xur appears weekly to bring a selection of Exotic gear for Guardians to purchase using Legendary Shards. Legendary Shards are acquired by simply playing the game or by breaking down Legendary items and Mods. This week Xur can be found hiding out in the EDZ, north of the Winding Cove landing zone, use the helpful icon on the planets director map to show you where he is. Each week Xur has the usual selection of items consisting of an Exotic weapon and a Exotic armor piece for each class of Guardian, being a true classy vendor and having something for everyone that visits him. Each Exotic item Xur sells comes at a power level of 270 (265 with a attached legendary mod adding +5).

Trials of the Nine

Trials returns this week on the map Dead Cliffs with the game mode Survival. Dead Cliffs has been a trials map before and is fairly well known in the both play lists of the Crucible in the Director. Dead Cliffs is a compact map that guarantees you’re never far away from an engagement with the other team. It’s worth equipping a mid-range weapon on this map, as most battles will tend to take place at a fairly short distance, but having a long range weapon will help with the few long sniper lanes on the map as well. If there is an engagement in one area of the map find a flanking route to take the opposing team by surprise and take advantage of the new angle on them. Survival game mode played with each team having a shared lives pool, as each Guardian on your team dies you will draw a respawn from that pool til your team has none left then your next death will be perma death til the end of the round. To gain access to a Trials match you will have to have completed the Destiny 2 campaign, The Call to Arms Milestone atleast once, and have a power level of atleast 260 to enter. No purchase of a Trials passage is required for Trials of the Nine and your card does start counting losses til you have won atleast one match. The Spire is unlocked for access with only one win with each tier of wins acheived you will unlock rewards for the tier on your way to seven wins and Flawless. Have fun Guardians and I'll see you at the Spire! if we meet in a Trials match Saturday night, wave say hi!.

This Week At Bungie

This week at Bungie has been a productive one, with the final livestream being cancelled to instead lay out a road map of the near future changes coming to Destiny 2. Bungie created a blog on the main Bungie.net site addressing some concerns the community has been...salty about, and what they are doing to make Destiny 2 a truly excellent experience for casuals and hobbyists alike. If you missed the State of Destiny blog post Bungie put out addressing the changes coming check it out here at Bungie.net/news. For a breakdown of the changes coming as soon as next week with the release of the DLC Curse of Osiris check out Gallifreyan74 breakdown of whats coming in the month of December to Destiny 2 here at destinytracker.com. Bungie, wanting to put there best foot forward with communicating with there own team and with the community had this to say "We’re actively monitoring the #Destiny2 and #Feedback portal for your thoughts. Dive in and make your opinion known. Upvote a thread or start your own. While we can’t respond to every thread, know that your voices are being heard. I’ll be forwarding feedback to the team as it comes, and we will be looking at ways we can improve our communication with you moving forward". The Curse of Osiris DLC will drop on Tuesday December 5th with an addition update for Destiny 2, and with those Pre-Load and Storage Requirements Players may begin to pre-load Curse of Osiris starting at 8 AM PST on December 5, 2017. Lastly we have a message from our stand in Community Manager from Bungie dmg04:

It’s been a busy week. We’ve begun a conversation that we’re looking to continue as Destiny 2 evolves. While Cozmo is out, I’ll be collecting feedback and forwarding it to the development team, whether it concerns our recent round of blog content or how you feel about Curse of Osiris once it’s in your hands. Even after Cozmo’s back, I’ll continue to lend a hand in the process. Your concerns are heard, your passion is vital, and we’re looking to keep you coming back for more.

Next stop, Mercury.

Cheers, -dmg04
