Xur

Greetings Guardians!, Kicking off our weekend with a visit from our friend Xur, bringings us a new assortment of Exotics to purchase from him for Legendary Shards. Each Exotic Xur sells comes at a base power level of 270 with a Legendary Mod already attached, his inventory usually consists of an Exotic Weapon and armor piece for each class of Guardian. This week Xur was retooled so to speak now having Fated Engrams to purchase, only one Engram per week can be purchased but is guaranteed to be an Exotic you don't already have but come at an expensive price. Also Three of Coin have made a return in Destiny 2, being a added weekly item Xur sells that is a four-hour buff that increases the odds of Exotic engrams dropping for you in the wild. This week Xur can be found for the first time in Destiny 2 at the Tower Hanger in the Tower, Use his Icon to set a way point to his location in your world map in the Director. This weeks Exotics inventory Xur has brought consists of :

• DARCI, sniper rifle: 29 Legendary Shards

• Celestial Nighthawk, Hunter helmet: 23 Legendary Shards

• Hallowfire Heart, Titan chest: 23 Legendary Shards

• Eye of another World, Warlock helmet: 23 Legendary Shards

• Fated Engram: 97 Legendary Shards

• Three of Coins: 31 Legendary Shards

Season 2 trials of the nine weapons

Trials of the Nine

This week Trials of the Nine is on the map Distant Shores and the game mode is Survival. Survival is played by both teams sharing a shared lives pool, when all the lives are used your next death will be a perma death ending the round, best of six rounds wins the match. After winning one match your fireteam is granted entry to the special social space The Third Spire where you can redeem Tokens earned by completing Milestones or by achieving victories in Trials matches. Winning more Match will allow you to ascend up the Spire for more rewards and ultimately with a Flawless card gain access to a Celestial realm of the Nine. This weeks map, Distant Shores is the first crucible map to be re-imagined from D1 in Destiny 2. On this map Power ammo spawns in River near the Grotto, most engagements will take place in the River lane. Shrine on this map gives great coverage over Power ammo but is hard to push on your enemy, as you should be cautious of flanks. This map has a great variety of lanes and places to engage the enemy team or catch them by surprise, work as a team and settle into a solid strategy and have a great time on this map. This Week At Bungie

Update 1.1.1.1 introduced more than just a few extra 1s to the version number. There are some new ways to invest in your favorite weapons, overhauls to vendors, new ways to gift rewards to your fireteam, and more. The Patch Notes can be found here at bungie.net patch notes update 1.1.1.1. To many in the communitys delighted surprise Bungie is releasing whats being called Origin Story. Next week, Bungie is launching a webcomic series, starting with an Osiris and Ikora origin story, “Fall of Osiris.” Margaret Stohl, Destiny 2 Narrative Director (who currently writes Marvel’s The Mighty Captain Marvel) notes: "Destiny’s first-ever original comic short is written by Eisner-winning, New York Times bestselling writer Ryan North (Dinosaur Comics, Marvel’s The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl) in collaboration with our own super talented Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris narrative lead Christine Thompson, with interior art by Destiny community fan favorite Zé Carlos. Here’s a peek at the cover, by Marcio Takara (All-New Wolverine)". The best part is that this comic telling a riveting tale into the lore of Destiny centered around Osiris is FREE!! keep your eyes open when it drops next week on the Bungie.net site for download.

The Dawning (Seasonal Event has Returned!)

The Dawning begins on Tuesday, December 19th and ends on Tuesday, January 9. This year the Dawning Event looks to be a promising good time for all, having the Tower and Farm decorated for the Event has always made Guardians excited and enjoy the change with each Event. This time around Bungie has added some extra seasonal fun for Guardians to enjoy, adding:

Snowball fights

• Guardians aren't just arming themselves with weapons. There are snowball piles everywhere you look. In the Tower and at the Farm, you can tag your friends for bragging rights. In Strikes, you can blast an enemy with a snowball to stun them and deal big damage.

Mayhem in the Cold

• Keep your blood warm and your heart pumping in the Crucible. Mayhem is back, so your abilities recharge faster. Point values are cranked up enough to melt the ice. It's anarchy—and it's awesome.

Milestones of Winter

• Engage in Crucible Mayhem or become legend in Strikes and you'll be rewarded. Every week, complete a milestone for a Dawning engram. Get in the giving mood with new consumables that give rewards to everyone you're playing with. If there’s a specific Dawning item that you have your heart set on, Tess will refresh her inventory each week, enabling you to use your Bright Dust reserves for your holiday shopping. On one week or another during the three-week event, you’ll find every Dawning-themed exotic (ship, ghost, sparrow, emote) and every Dawning-themed legendary armor piece on her shelves.

Gifting and Receiving

• Pick up a Dawning Gift Schematic from the Bazaar. Venture to other worlds and craft a unique gift for the vendors and agents you find in the Tower and beyond. Then, give the lucky recipient their gift and receive a gift in return. You can participate in the season of giving every day of the event.
