Oh, the Vex outside are frightful, but the Tower is so delightful. Happy reset day and Happy Dawning, Guardians!

Four months ago, we entered into a war with the Cabal following an unprecedented attack on the city. We regrouped, reclaimed our stolen light, and defeated the Red Legion. No sooner than we finished rebuilding the Tower, we joined Osiris on Mercury for some wibbly wobbly timey wimey stuff to stop the Vex from destroying the timeline, averting the “dark future”.

Saving the galaxy is what we do best. However, even Guardians of the galaxy need to take a little time for fun and celebration. That time is called the Dawning.

In the words of Ikora Rey, Warlock Vanguard - “The Traveler is awake. For Humanity, a new Golden Age has begun. This year's Dawning is unlike any other—it's not just the renewal that a new year brings, but the dawn of something greater. Now more than ever, we must gather together in the Tower, at the Farm, and all across the system to give thanks. Our Light has returned—and it illuminates everything around us.”

Today kicks off our 3-week Dawning festival full of new activities and gear to chase.

Flashpoint: Titan

Travel to Titan to complete Public Events to complete your Flashpoint milestone. Remember to turn your Public Events into Heroic Public Events for a chance at better loot. Once the Flashpoint milestone is complete look for the world boss at the end of the next Heroic Public Event following milestone completion. If you don’t know how to activate Heroic Public Events, read this article by AvgJoe227 Heroic Public Events and How to Start Them

Cayde-6 Treasure Maps: Mercury

Be sure to visit the Cayde-6 and purchase the 5 treasure maps (4600 glimmer each) leading to Cayde’s special loot chests before taking off to Titan to complete your Flashpoint milestone.

Call to Arms: Crucible

Win glory by participating in Crucible matches. It typically takes between 5-7 matches to complete the milestone depending on if you are solo queuing or playing with clan mates. Playing crucible matches will earn you progress towards your Call to Arms milestone and your Clan XP milestone at the same time.

NightFall: Arms Dealer (Earth)

Search Firebase Hades to find Bracus Zahn and cut off a valuable weapons supply chain.

Nightfall Modifiers:

  • Torrent – Boundless power erupts from within. Your abilities recharge much faster. Use them to shatter your foes. In other words, spam those grenades!
  • Timewarp: Zero Hour – The mission timer cannot be extended. Choose your battles carefully.

Nightfall Challenges:

  • Speed of Dark – Complete the Nightfall with at least 5 minutes remaining
  • Unbroken – Complete the Nightfall with fewer than 3 deaths
  • Trash the Thresher – Shoot down a thresher while fighting Bracus Zahn

Raid: Leviathan

Board the Leviathan orbiting Nessus to defeat Calus, the Cabal Emperor. The new recommended power level is now 300 for Normal Mode. The first room this week is the Gauntlet.

Raid Challenges:

  • The Proving – Complete every trial Calus has set before you
  • The Labyrinth – Loot 3 of Calus’s gifts in the underbelly of the Leviathan
  • The Royal Pools - Someone must remain in the middle pool for the entire encounter

  • Clean Sweep - Clear each major encounter

Remember all progress on the Leviathan raid is reset as well as raid keys. Clan XP goals are also reset as each player can earn a cap of 5000 XP per character for a powerful engram while total clan XP is capped at 100,000.
