Weekend Breakdown December 29, 2017 - January 1, 2018

It's that time of the week Guardians! Kicking off our weekend with our weekly visit from Xur with a new bag of Exotic items for us to buy this week. This week Xur can be found on Nessus, just north of The Watcher’s Grave landing zone. Use your handy world map in your Director to set a way point to his location to make quick work of finding him. Each week Xur brings random Exotic items consisting of an Exotic weapon and armor piece for each class of Guardian. The items purchased from him with Legendary Shards drop at 270 power level with a +5 Legendary Mod already attached. Also in Xur's inventory is the Fated Engram which gives Guardians a chance at a single Exotic that is not in your inventory yet, as well as the tried and true Three of Coins, boosting your chances at Exotics dropping in the wilds. This week Xur has brought with him the following items :

  • Vigilance Wing, pulse rifle: 29 Legendary Shards

  • Foetracer, Hunter helmet: 23 Legendary Shards

  • Peacekeepers, Titan legs: 23 Legendary Shards

  • Eye of Another World, Warlock helmet: 23 Legendary Shards

  • Fated Engram: 97 Legendary Shards

  • Three of Coins: 31 Legendary Shards

Trials of the Nine

Trials has returned!!! This week Guardians will face off on the map Javelin-4 with the game mode Survival. Survival is played by each team sharing a lives pool, when all the shared lives are used the next death is a perma death for the round. This map is great for Trials, it offers so many different ways to engage the enemy team, with different routes to flank and areas to engage in. Mild to close range weapons are best for this map with the Power ammo dropping in the center of the map be sure to be on guard if you don't engage the enemy team before they pull the Power ammo. All supers play well on this map be sure to use them wisely as things tend to get alittle crazy on this map as engagements happen quickly. To get into a Trials of the Nine playlist you must have completed the campaign and the Call to Arms Milestone at least once as well as be a minimum power level of 260. Obtaining a single win will unlock the social space called the Spire, where you can turn in earned Trials Tokens for Rewards, as well as gaining more rewards the further you ascend the Spire. This Week At Bungie

Everyone at Bungie is off enjoying their holidays with family and friends. The TWAB (This Week At Bungie) will return next week. Here is wishing all a happy and enjoyable holiday from an avg joe!

There will be Server Maintenance Next week on Wednesday the third, Bungie help forum had this to say: Destiny 2 services will be brought offline to undergo maintenance on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. During the server maintenance Hotfix 1.1.1.2 will be available to download and install. Please see below for the timeline of the maintenance window.
