The Destiny community is full of talented Guardians. The Content Creators are a huge part of the community and put so much time and effort into bringing something special to the community. DTR (Destiny Tracker) wants to shine a spotlight on some of the content creators in the community to recognize them for all the hard work they do, day in and day out, on stream and in the community. This week our Spotlight goes out to Guardian in the community that has been playing Destiny since the Beta, " I was ready and waiting because I was a big Halo player and was hyped about Destiny from the day it was announced". Who at the start was a main Hunter class Guardian but has since changed to a Warlock class, having this to add " I started as hunter, but you know, Warlock OP...so migrated to a warlock and never looked back!". Xorth is well known in the Destiny community as well as many others for his contributions to all the gaming communities under the Tracker Network. Asking Xorth how he came about making his gamer tag he replied saying " This is a really boring story, I'll spare you the details. It's pronounced Zorth, and means nothing. It's dumb, I promise". The Tracker Network if you are unfamiliar, is a network of games each with there own sites where players can go to get an almost endless amount of personal stats as well as game stats with added content of videos, news, and written articles where players have a one stop site for all there gaming needs. Asking Xorth how the Tracker Network came to be, and about how many games are covered under its umbrella? Xorth replied " I started w/ Halo Tracker and then waited impatiently for Destiny. Once Destiny came out, we had 2 sites, and I just really loved working on it. So as soon as I was happy with how things were, I decided to start a "Network" and support our favorite games. I'm having a blast w/ it now, and I feel like a kid again when new APIs come out". Having a true passion for gaming and with providing all players a home for finding out all the details of their own favorite games, Xorth created something truly incredible with the Tracker Network. Players now and for the last several years have all come to the Tracker sites to find there personal stats from every possible angle of the game their enjoying as well as including information from the data base that has a vast variety of things to search from within the game. The Tracker Network has also aided the competitive players as well with up to date stats to keep their competitive edge as well as looking up anyone else stats to gain an edge in competition. With creating something so valued by players, it no doubt takes alot of time and effort to do so. Asking Xorth how much time a week he spends working on the various Tracker Network sites, he replied smiling from the question " Wayyyyy too much. Although it used to be a lot worse. I have a kid now. But probably 50-60 hours a week? I am able to do it full time now, and then because I love it so much, I work weekends as well!". With such a passion and love for what he created, Xorth has figured out how to balance work time and family time, no matter what is going on in the worlds of gaming each day taking a break and enjoying ones family time and interacting with loved ones is one of the most important things one can do to keep relationships healthy as well as ones well being. I asked Xorth if he could give everyone alittle advice on how to balance everything and where to draw a line for health and family, from someone that has a million things to do including IRL (in real life) jobs and family?. Xorth responded giving some great advice, saying "Never let yourself get addicted to anything, and if you identify yourself acting that way, get control. Whether that is work, gaming, social media, etc. Make time for your family and your body. I suggest Rock Climbing!".

When he is not working to bring new content or working on bettering the Tracker Network anyway he can and like many can relate when the family is all asleep, I asked how does he find the time himself to enjoy playing the games he loves as well?. Xorth replied " I don't really. I'm able to dabble w/ the games I love. But I can never go all in due to the constraints. But because I love working on this stuff, it's not so bad". Being able to dabble in the games you loves and not get lost in them helps keep that love for those games alive, over playing can lead to burning a player out or lead to hitting a wall with nothing left to do. Allowing yourself to play the games you love here and there keeps your passion for those titles alive and keeps you coming back with excitement looking forward to enjoying them for a long time down the road. The Tracker Network has many talented content creators that work together to help bring content to all the different tracker sites. Asking Xorth if could tell us how the tracker content team is like a family working together to bring something special each day to the communities out there. Xorth responded saying " The great thing about this team is everyone wants to be here. We're all passionate about the games, and about the community. I'm amazed at how dedicated everyone is. It brings me a great sense of joy to be able to work w/ people on the things I love, and to build a platform where others can engage in their hobbies. We all gotta meet sometime, beers on Jay!".

With the Tracker Network being so popular through many gaming communities I asked Xorth what was the average daily interactions on the Tracker Network, responded saying " We do a couple million page views a day, but it goes up and down based on how Destiny and games like that are doing". At this moment Fortnite from Epic games studio is wildly popular with passing a milestone of 45 million players and over 4 million concurrent players at any given time, the Tracker Network has created the Fortnite Tracker site where players can come and search for their stats and get up to date news and information as it comes out. Asking Xorth for a peak at what sort of information is gather for players to search and what kind of content can they find on the Fortnite Tracker site? "We collect basic stats about each playlist there is, and how you're doing in them. Using that data, we make a match history sorts. It's great for tracking your win history, which is super easy for me since I only have 4 :(", Xorth responded with a touch of his infamous sense of humor and with the mind set you have to have fun with what you do other wise its not worth doing. Xorths' favorite things about working on the Tracker Networks is he enjoys all the technical stuff behind the curtain which he enjoys every minute of it, " Develop. I love making sites, tools, optimizing databases. It's sick, isn't it? I'm sick lol". Asking lastly before Xorth gets back to working on making the Tracker Network an incredible tool and site for everyone to enjoy I wanted to ask with the tracker network growing where would u like to see it at the end of 2018, and can he give us a peak at any new features coming down the line for the sites? Xorth replied saying " I hope Destiny comes back in full force, in it's former glory. Destiny is one of our most important sites and it's for a game that I know and love. My biggest goal for 2018 is just to have D2 be all that it can be. Which means we can do a lot more stuff like Esports.... :) Ever heard of a little thing called DTR Champions? We've done some raid events, but we're itchin to do pvp!. We're re-writing our entire stack this year. Too soon to go into that, but we are very excited and want to continue to improve our offering". Its truly exciting to hear all the fantastic things coming down the line with all the Tracker Network sites especially whats in store for the Destiny Tracker site with new features and with the DTR Champions coming in May 2018 when private matches finally drop. I can not thank Xorth enough for taking the time to talk with us and share some of the incredible work it takes behind the curtain at the Tracker Network. It was truly an honor to get to know the man behind the Tracker Network and all the incredible work he does every day for everyone to enjoy. Xorth is also a pleasure to work with and I personally look forward to more conversations and fun things instore in the future, and hopefully Xorth gets alittle time to enjoy more Destiny 2 and Fortnite and I hope to see him in the Crucible ;). Til the next time we met in the Tower at the Spicy Ramen noodle shop,as always thank you for reading.

"Well I'm by no means a successful streamer, but I think you have to go big or go home. You need to have the time to do it and follow through, constantly receiving feedback and growing. I think many people get bummed when their work isn't immediately trending on Twitter. It takes time to build anything, no matter how good it is. You gotta stick with it. Consistency is key". - Xorth
