Happy reset day, Guardians! This week, love is definitely a battlefield. Today kicks off Destiny 2's first Crimson Days event. Find a partner and enter the battlefield hand in hand.

Welcome to Crimson Days

Here's a quick breakdown of what to expect from Crimson Days. The only requirement to participate is that your character has reached max level (25 for DLC owners and 20 for non-DC owners).

  • Start at Tower - At the start, go straight to the tower and visit Eververse who will gift you with your first crimson engram. She'll then send you to Shaxx to open the first milestone.
  • 2v2 crucible Clash playlist with a twist - Abilities recharge at a faster rate when partners are close by. However, when partners stray to far apart a waypoint leading to your location will be shared with the opposition.

  • New old map - A dark future of Destiny 1's map Burning Shrine (seen below). "The Burnout, a new take on The Burning Shrine set in a future timeline where the Vex have succeeded in altering our reality."

  • New rewards (seen below) - According to Bungie the best way to earn these rewards is through the 2v2 playlist. All rewards can only earned through actual gameplay - Sorry Eververse.

  • Double Engrams - Each time you level up you'll receive a bright engram and a crimson engram. The duplication prevention system will be in place to prevent you from receiving duplicate items from these engrams.

In addition to receiving random rewards from crimson engrams these 5 activities will offer specific rewards:

  • Complete the milestone “Welcome to Crimson Days” by finishing five Crimson Days matches and visiting Lord Shaxx in the Tower to earn the Fire of the Crimson Days Emblem and the Tirastrella Ghost Shell.
  • Complete matches in the Crimson Days Crucible playlist for a chance to earn the Undeterred Exotic Sparrow.
  • Complete either the Leviathan Raid or the Raid Lair: Eater of Worlds to claim the Dieselpunk Exotic Ornament for Wardcliff Coil from the final chest.
  • Complete the Nightfall Strike during the Crimson Days event to earn the Flaunting Dance Emote.

Here’s your reset activities for the week of February 13th – February 19th.

Flashpoint: European Dead Zone (EDZ)

Travel to the EDZ to complete Public Events to complete your Flashpoint milestone. Remember to turn your Public Events into Heroic Public Events for a chance at better loot. Once the Flashpoint milestone is complete look for the world boss at the end of the next Heroic Public Event following milestone completion. Cayde-6 Treasure Maps: IO

Be sure to visit the Cayde-6 and purchase the 5 treasure maps (4600 glimmer each) leading to Cayde’s special loot chests before taking off to the EDZ to complete your Flashpoint milestone.

Call to Arms: Crucible

Win glory by participating in Crucible matches. It typically takes between 5-7 matches to complete the milestone depending on if you are solo queuing or playing with clan mates. Playing crucible matches will earn you progress towards your Call to Arms milestone and your Clan XP milestone at the same time.

NightFall: The Pyramidion (IO)

Seek vengeance against the Vex Mind that corrupted Asher's arm. With Torrent active, AoE grenades will your best instrument of vengeance - spam them!

Nightfall Modifiers:

  • Torrent – Boundless power erupts from within. Your abilities recharge must faster. In other words, spam those grenades!
  • Timewarp: Zero Hour – The mission timer cannot be extended. Choose your battles carefully.

Nightfall Challenges:

  • Speed of Dark – Complete the Nightfall with at least 5 minutes remaining
  • Unbroken – Complete the Nightfall with fewer than 3 deaths
  • Siege Engine – Do not allow Brakion to remain shielded for more than 40 seconds before defeating it.

Nightfall Reward: Powerful Engram

Raid: Leviathan

Board the Leviathan orbiting Nessus to defeat Calus, the Cabal Emperor. The first encounter this week is the The Royal Pools.

Raid Challenges:

  • The Proving – Complete every trial Calus has set before you
  • The Labyrinth – Loot 3 of Calus’s gifts in the underbelly of the Leviathan
  • The Royal Pools - Someone must remain in the middle pool for the entire encounter

The Leviathan loot table has been removed since the loot tables have been unified and and the loot is no longer tied to specific encounters. Everything available on the table has a chance to drop after each encounter.

Raid Lair: Eater of Worlds

Board the Leviathan orbiting Nessus to tackle the new Raid Lair - a shorter raid encounter.

  • Clean Sweep - Clear each major encounter
  • Moments of Power - Generate orbs multiple times
  • The Big Numbers - Get precision kills

Remember all progress on the Leviathan raid is reset as well as raid keys. Clan XP goals are also reset as each player can earn a cap of 5000 XP per character for a powerful engram while total clan XP is capped at 100,000.

Destiny Update 1.1.2.1, the one about Lost Sectors has been implemented which removed Lost Sector throttles allowing players to now open a Lost Sector Chest once per boss defeated.
