Grinding is an eternal part of online multiplayer role-playing games, and while Destiny bucks some trends in regards to the RPG genre, the science fiction shoot-and-loot title is no different when it comes to time spent trying to get that shiny new weapon, armour, or item.

Everyone remembers the long and sluggish battle for the original Thorn mission, which was one of the most brutal grinds Bungie has ever put in the franchise. Other difficult runs included the Grasp of Malok grind, as well as the 100 Rumble wins that was attached to a few quests.

Most people assume these grinds come with an assured bounty haul at the end - not so for popular Destiny streamer T1RioT, who has been trying to collect the exotic fusion rifle One Thousand Rifles without success since the Last Wish Raid was released in September of last year.

Now, after 101 attempts at the Forsaken-based Raid, which sees you complete the Forsaken stoyline in the Dreaming City after a journey to the Keep of Voices, T1RioT has finally broken what some Guardians had begun to dub "World's Worst RNG."

Funnily enough, there was barely any excitement from the long-time Destiny streamer. When the One Thousand Voices finally dropped into his inventory on the 101st attempt at the Raid, him simply turned to the camera with a smile.

"Do we get it?" he asked his Twitch chat before the exotic weapon appeared on screen. "We do."

It's over. It's done.

There were some T1RioT fans that were beginning to believe the streamer may never collect the powerful exotic fusion rifle, especially after his attempts ticker, initially set to just 100, ticked up to the final number and sat at 100/100 in the 101st run. Then the time finally came, and the "World's Worst RNG" came to an end.

Is this the longest run a Guardian has had to undertake to get the weapon or equipment they were looking to collect? Have you had worse luck from Bungie and the RNG gods?
