Bungie Outlines End Game Rewards For Season Of The Chosen

What will you be going for first?

Today saw the last TWAB to be released before the start of Season of the Chosen. As expected it highlighted what we can anticipate from the story and all of the rewards we will be chasing as end game content.

This will be the first season that will offer specific rewards for completing Master and Grandmaster Nightfalls. Here is the first-ever Destiny 2 strike weapon list:

  • The Swarm
  • Palindrome
  • Shadow Price

For Master completions, you can expect a chance at receiving one of these weapons to drop depending on your Medal upon completion.

For those unfamiliar, Medals are rewarded in Master Nightfalls based on the total number of Champions killed out of how many have spawned throughout the activity. Killing every Champion that spawns will award you with a Platinum medal whereas missing even just one will drop you down to the Gold tier. The goal of course will be to hit Platinum as this will award the highest chance at getting a weapon to drop.

If you are looking to grab an Adept version of these weapons, then a Grandmaster Nightfall will be all that is in your way. With the same system as Masters, your drop rate of receiving an Adept weapon will be dependant on the Medal you receive at the end of the strike.

Community Manager, Cozmo23, confirmed via Twitter that Adept Weapon mods will also drop from Grand Master Nightfalls. We do not know yet if Mods will be a guaranteed drop upon completion or if they are a random chance based on Medal.

Trials will also be receiving a new loot pool as the team has added three new weapons and a brand new set of armor for each class to be chased during next season.

Pictured above are a rifle (probably pulse), Hand Cannon, and the highly contested Sword.

Besides the gear, Trials will also be awarding three new cosmetics. These cosmetics will have different drop rates depending on your success rate in trials. The Ghost Shell drop chances increases as you win matches and increases when you hit the 3/5/7 win and flawless milestones each week, while the ship and Sparrow drop increases every time you go flawless.

Aside from Strikes and Trials, Season of the Chosen will also feature a new cache of weapons alongside the reissued sets of the Moon and Dreaming City.

These weapons appear to be following the same Persian inspiration as the armor sets featured in the debut trailer and on the Bungie homepage of Season of the Chosen.

Adored will also be replaced next weekend with a new Pursuit weapon, Salvager’s Salvo. This Grenade Launcher will be of the Breech archetype explaining why Bungie took the time to update and address the weapon class in the last TWAB.

Similar to Adored, this weapon will feature custom ornaments based on your quest completion in Strikes, Crucible and Gambit.

What will be the first thing you chase in next Season? Let me know in the comments or @Suttledge on Twitter.
