DTR Interview: Special Edition with D1 Alpha Vet

It is my pleasure to introduce the infamous D1 Alpha Vet, one of my favorite Destiny creators.

Hi Suttledge, thanks for having me. It's a pleasure, and an honor to be interviewed by DestinyTracker. Which is what I use to show people my stats are better than theirs.

Why Destiny? What made you choose this game to dominate over all the others you are good at?

Easy first question. It's because Destiny is the GREATEST franchise developed by the GREATEST studio of all-time, and it's not even close.

What is your favorite activity to destroy other people in?

Presently? The greatest competitive game mode of all-time: Gambit.

Gambit is where I prove myself as the greatest of all-time in both PvE and PvP.

Haha yes, I am a Gilded Dredgen. Not bragging though. I'm just good like that.

Favorite Raid Boss?

Val Ca'uor.

I'm sure a lot of people are reading this and thinking "Isn't that everyone's favorite anyway". Yeah, but here's my take on why:

Do you know how competitive it was to get people to show up to Spire of Stars? I have never felt more alive than finding 5 other lifeless husks, soulless enough to want to finish that raid.

Favorite Crucible Loadout?

After Mountaintop was sunset, I became an Arbalest enthusiast. But a lot of people are sleeping on Felwinter's Lie.

I use Revenant Hunter, Sturm with Felwinter's Lie and any sword (I use the sword to anticipate my opponent's moves, in third person).

What record are you most proud of?

Back in 2014 I held the record in my household for fastest strike completion before bedtime.

The rush of killing Sepiks before my mother realized I was up after 9PM is something I'll always remember.

Who do you admire and look up to? Who is the Alpha's Alpha?

FaZe Censor. The day he showed up on YouTube and announced he broke up with his girlfriend to seek another Call of Duty championship served as my motivation and inspiration to put my marriage on the line for another Raid Ring (I own 5 now).

If you didn't have Destiny where do you see your self?

I don't think about these things.

Why did you pick Redeem to be the clan you joined?

I signed a contract with Clan Redeem because simply put: we have the same mindset. All that matters is the W.

Yes, I used the coil glitch in Year 1. So what? What are you going to do, cry about it?

If you could say one thing to Luke Smith what would it be?

Bring back Mountaintop as an exotic... and Sparrow Racing. I have a need for speed, and naturally, coil-glitching.

What Destiny streamer could you beat in an arm-wrestling match?

I could beat any streamer if I wanted to. But if I had to choose one to lose to these cannons, I'd say Sir Richard "Rick Kackis" Kackington III. He has been getting on my nerves lately. Kind of stealing my thunder when he posts selfies. Like, come on dude, I'm a much better looking guy so you might as well not post pictures of yourself.

What is one thing you would like to tell the entire Destiny Community?

I am a D1 Alpha Veteran, not some random clown.
