Destiny 2's new Corridors of Time Puzzle - what is it, and how do you solve it?

Destiny 2’s newest convoluted puzzle has been discovered within the latest weekly reset and it has taken the community by storm with many streamers devoting a large portion of their time to trying to crack the code.

The puzzle can be started by visiting Osiris and grabbing the quest simply titled “Exploring the Corridors of Time” to be given access to the Corridors of Time. This is the area the player ventured through in order to find Saint-14 during the Season of Dawn story missions.

The Corridors of Time are a type of maze with many hexagonal rooms connected to each other so it can be quite easy to get turned around.

The first part of this puzzle involves using codes generated by the planetary Obelisks, with a new code being generated every hour, to walk through the different rooms in the Corridors of Time in a certain order. Simply look at the stone obelisk in front of the different doorways for a glowing symbol to find the correct doorway to walk through.

Once a code has been properly input, the player will be transported to a special, circular room with a tomb in the middle. Walk towards the tomb until an interact option appears which will reward the player with a lore piece.

To reset the Corridors, walk forward towards the tomb and the player will be teleported to the entrance. Approach the stone obelisk to the left of the doorway and interact with it, this will cause a reset. There are 19 codes in total for lore pieces with an additional, longer code to obtain an exclusive emblem.

Here are the codes along with a picture of the symbols and their corresponding names:

  • Code 1 - Plus, Snake, Clover, Hex, Snake, Plus, Diamond
  • Code 2 - Clover, Clover, Hex, Hex, Plus, Diamond, Snake
  • Code 3 - Plus, Clover, Diamond, Diamond, Snake, Diamond, Diamond
  • Code 4 - Diamond, Clover, Plus, Hex, Clover, Hex, Clover
  • Code 5 - Diamond, Plus, Snake, Hex, Hex, Diamond, Plus
  • Code 6 - Diamond, Hex, Snake, Hex, Clover, Clover, Plus
  • Code 7: Diamond, Plus, Clover, Hex, Snake, Hex, Snake
  • Code 8: Clover Plus Clover Hex Clover Diamond Snake
  • Code 9: Clover, Clover, Clover, Snake, Diamond, Hex, Diamond
  • Code 10: Plus, Hex, Clover, Hex, Plus, Diamond, Hex
  • Code 11: Snake, Hex, Snake, Hex, Diamond, Hex, Snake
  • Code 12: Hex, Snake, Plus, Hex, Snake, Hex, Plus
  • Code 13: Clover, Plus, Clover, Diamond, Snake, Snake, Hex

  • Code 15: Clover, Hex, Plus, Diamond, Plus, Snake, Diamond
  • Code 16: Snake, Hex, Hex, Hex, Plus, Diamond, Diamond
  • Code 17: Clover, Diamond, Hex, Clover, Plus, Diamond, Plus
  • Code 18: Diamond, Plus, Plus, Clover, Snake, Plus, Diamond
  • Code 19: Hex, Plus, Plus, Diamond, Hex, Snake, Snake
  • Emblem Code : Diamond, Clover, Snake, Plus, Hex, Hex, Plus, Hex, Diamond, Clover, Snake

Note: if a code does not work, community members have discovered that the codes can work if input backward, so be sure to try that.

These codes are simply the first part of the puzzle with the community currently progressing through the second part. Now, this part is fairly complicated. Below the floor of each of the 19 lore piece rooms is a massive symbol surrounded by many other smaller symbols. If you connect all these together using the matching smaller clusters of symbols you can make a larger map to help traversal through the Corridors.

On the floor of the emblem room is a special code that is unique to the player. The community is currently trying to crowdsource as many of these unique codes so they can sift through the data in order to create a proper pathway through the Corridors.

Bungie has been watching the community trying to solve this devious puzzle from the sidelines and has tweeted out a small hint. The tweet reads:

“Fractured into many pieces, the Corridors of Time need to be put back together. The solution is a marathon, not a sprint.”

This led many to believe that the puzzle must be time-gated to next week’s reset but this was confirmed to not be the case.

Those of you familiar with Bungie’s past work may have picked up on the use of the word ‘marathon’ in the above tweet. Marathon was a game developed by Bungie back in 1994 for the Mac that has now become the subject of this treasure hunt. Community members are scouring the game for clues to the Corridors of Time puzzle with a link being discovered from Marathon to Destiny 2’s MIDA Multi-Tool. Could Bungie have accidentally sent us on a wild goose chase?

If you would like to contribute to the cause, take a screenshot of your emblem room floor code and send it to the /r/RaidSecrets Corridor Map Discord server.

To follow along as updates present themselves, be sure to check out the Raid Secrets Subreddit as well as popular community streamers such as Gladd, Sweatcicle, and Datto who are trying to solve this puzzle.
