Everything You Need To Know About Destiny 2 Solstice 2021

Get Ready To Shine Bright Again

This morning Bungie quietly snuck in an update to their site regarding the details to the 2021 Solstice of Heroes event. Jam packed with comsetics and details, here is everything you need to know about the event.

The event will kick off at reset July 6th at 10am PDT and will go until reset on August 3rd. Eva Levante will once again be hosting the event and the EAZ, European Aerial Zone, will be making yet again another return.

The event will have a elemental rotation similar to last year where everyday a new element will be buffed in a certain way with one day in the rotation being name Prism Day where players can choose their buff. Here is how Bungie describes it:

Each day will challenge you to match your attacks to the daily element in order to charge one of four unique elemental buffs. On Prism days, all four buffs can charge but only one can be activated at a time. Choose your subclass wisely.

It is nice to hear that this season will once again feature the armor upgrade system where you will be tasked with quests that get increasingly more difficult to evolve your gear to Legendary. Once fully completed your armor will then evolve to glow and shine brightly wherever you are.

A new system Bungie is bringing this year to the armor will be the Armor Accelerant system that will be able to be utilized to bring your other characters up to speed on their armor after you have already progressed your first's far enough.

In addition to the armor this year Bungie has sweetened the loot with a new legendary shotgun. From the looks of it, this will be a new slug shotgun but with today's TWAB set to feature Shotgun nerfs and changes I am curious why Bungie is using one as the center piece for this seasonal event.

Alongside the Shotgun will be Ghost Shells, Ships and Sparrows all up for grabs. No doubt majority of these will be in the Eververse store but hopefully some will be up for grabs organically.

If you are looking to add the subclass specific glows into your armor collection this season, Bungie will be putting all four of the glows up for sale on Eververse for both Bright Dust and Silver.

Will you be participating in this year's event? Let me know in the comments or @Suttledge on Twitter.
