Destiny 2 on PC was released this week with eminence excitement from the community. This week at Bungie (known as the TWAB) was filled with exciting news of upcoming changes, demonstrating just how Bungie sets the bar with how it listens to players in there community. Bungie is now passing the torch from the team that developed Destiny 2 to the live team that will sustain it. With a glimpse ahead at some of the items that can be earned in Season 2 highlighting the armor sets from the seasonal live event "The Dawning" and the Season 2 Iron Banner armor sets, the next chapter of Destiny 2 looks promising to say the least. enter image description hereenter image description here

Game director Christopher Barrett is also working on making Destiny 2 a game that will challenge and reward you in new ways. Christopher Barrett went on to say " We've been playing the game in the wild for seven weeks, and like the Destiny experiences that have come before, we're always thinking about where the game is heading next. We're still planning when a bunch of the improvements listed below are going to make their way into the game, but we wanted to let you know what we're up to. Here’s a short list of updates we’re working on":

  • New systems and rewards to give our most engaged players additional, optional pursuits.
  • Better incentives for players who complete challenging Prestige activities.
  • Better rewards and replay value for strikes, adventures, and Lost Sectors.
  • Private matches for the competitive community (we are targeting early 2018).
  • Crucible tuning like adjusted Supremacy scoring and better spawning rules.
  • Better incentives for completing Crucible matches (and penalties for quitting competitive games).
  • Continued improvements to Iron Banner and Faction Rallies, including uniqueness of rewards.
  • Changes to make the mod economy more interesting and impactful.
  • Ongoing improvements to Exotics, including adjustments to reduce instances of duplication.
  • New ways to spend surplus currency and materials (looking at you Legendary Shards).
  • An emote interface that allows players to equip Salty, Spicy Ramen, Six Shooter, and Flip Out all at the same time.

With these changes coming down the line players are overjoyed with excitement to have some of these quality of life changes happening. This also shows how passionate Bungie is about Destiny 2 and its fans to take the time to listen to the community, and strive to bring some much needed attention to some improvements that were being discussed in the community. Cheers Bungie!

Community Artist Spotlight

Our community has many talented and skilled Guardians in it, some of those Guardians are artists. Each week we will showcase a work of art created by one of our talented artists in the Destiny community. This week's spotlight is a very talented artist that has been playing Destiny since the Destiny 1 Beta. Boompus III( Warlock guardian) had a love for Bungie games since Halo and when he tried Destiny for the first time he fell in love the second he started playing. Drawing since he was a kid but not for some time Boompus III was inspired by another community pen and ink artist to try and draw some items from Destiny, that is when his love for drawing and creating art came back. After some support from close friends Boompus III started to show his work on social media and the support from the Destiny community was immense. enter image description here The love Boompus III has for the game and the support from the community is what keeps him creating new pieces. Collaborating with fellow Guardians in the community and meeting new people has been a fun experience that everyone in the community can relate with. We look forward to many new creations and pieces Boompus III has in store for us in the future. Til we meet again in Orbit, Thanks for reading! enter image description here "People have been way more supportive then I ever thought anyone would be and it makes me want to just keep on going with it. Love seeing when my art can make someone happy". -Boompus III
