Destiny 2 Season of the Splicer Calendar Guide

Everything You Can Expect For Season 14 Of Destiny 2

Season 14, Season of the Splicer, is right around the corner for Destiny 2. Like every season there are sure to be a few hidden gems, but for those looking to be more punctual this season, Bungie has released their seasonal order of events.

The Season of the Splicer will kick off on May 11th featuring an Intro Mission as the Endless Night Begins. The launch date will also unlock the Transmog System, Armor Synthesis, as well as the new Stasis Aspect Quest. Override, the seasonal six Guardian matchmade activity, is also set to launch on the start of the season as well.

May 14th, the first Friday of the Season, will bring back the Trials of Osiris. Bungie has yet to release any news on if we can expect anything new with Trials in Season 14 but DMG has stated that the team is at least considering bringing back old weapons like Eye of Sol back into the loot pool.

Iron Banner will be returning in Season 14 with four new weapons in its loot pool. If you are looking to prove your strength, you can expect to meet with Lord Saladin when Iron Banner returns May 18th.

May 18th will also be bring the Override activity to the Moon.

Vault of Glass will debut in Destiny 2 with a Raid Race on May 22. Challenge mode will be enabled for the first 24 hours of the raid but afterwards you will be able to jump in with your fireteam at a normal difficulty. If you want to learn more about the raid race, check out my article here.

May 25th will bring about the first week of the Weekly Pinnacle Mission, Expunge. This is set to be similar to the Presage Exotic Quest from Season 13 that featured a new area unlock each week. From the looks of it Expunge will be more than simple corridors unlocking though. The Tangled Shore will also open up for Override on this same reset.

The next major drop of the season will be June 22nd where fireteams will be able to jump back in to the Vault of Glass and complete any of the Raid Challenges they were unable to complete in the first 24 hours.

Grandmasters will be returning towards the middle of the season on June 22nd. This isn’t on the calendar but it was confirmed by DMG on Twitter when asked about it. It seems that Grandmasters will follow the same pattern as last season but DMG did say that the team is looking into ways for Conquerors to unlock their Gilded seal earlier on in the season. So far we only know that Glassway will be returning as the first Grandmaster next season.

Each Season of Destiny usually has a big holiday event, for Season 13 it was Guardian Games, and for Season 14 it will be Solstice of Heroes. Solstice of Heroes will run from July 6th to August 3rd and as for now we do not have any in depth details on what we can expect.

The season is set to conclude on August 24th but for the first time Bungie has placed a “Epilogue” on the calendar set for August 10th. The ominous look of a fireteam overlooking the Last City engulfed in darkness is all we have to detail this date for now. My initial expectation is this will be a live event that has us watch as the Sun returns to the Last City but only time will tell.
