With the Tower Obelisk being unlocked for players within the last couple of days, the full set of Timelost weapons can now be obtained.
These weapons can be obtained through bounties at the relevant Destination Obelisk if the Tower Obelisk is not unlocked or once the Tower Obelisk is unlocked, by linking it to all the other Destination Obelisks. If an Obelisk is linked to the Sundial than that Obelisk’s weapons can be acquired through a run of the Sundial.
Below is the first part of the list of Timelost weapons and the best perks they can roll with. Part One contains the Auto Rifle, Sidearm, Linear Fusion Rifle, and Grenade Launcher.
Steelfeather Repeater (Tangled Shore Obelisk)
Steelfeather Repeater is a Rapid-Fire Auto Rifle that sits in the Kinetic slot, a rare sight in Destiny 2. As with all other Rapid-Fire Auto Rifles, Steelfeather suffers from poor Stability and Range but makes up for it with its high fire-rate of 720 RPM and large magazine size of 49 as a default which through magazine perks can be brought up to almost 70.
Even though Steelfeather has poor Stability it actually has almost vertical recoil direction making it fairly bearable to control. This weapon shines more in PvE with it being able to roll with some top tier perks such as Feeding Frenzy and Multikill Clip allowing the player to shred through basic enemies.

Breachlight (Tangled Shore Obelisk)
Breachlight is an Aggressive Sidearm that sits in the Kinetic slot. Breachlight fires a hard-hitting 2-round burst. At first glance, Breachlight appears to be a fairly standard Sidearm, which has been out of the meta for some time now. Recently though, Sidearms received a buff to their aim assist making it much easier to land shots and to give a more consistent feel to the weapon class. The weapon suffers from short Range, like most other Sidearms, and a fairly small magazine so be sure to aim for perks that cover up this weakness.

Line in the Sand (Mars Obelisk)
Line in the Sand is a Linear Fusion Rifle that deals Arc damage. Line in the Sand functions the same as other Linear Fusion Rifles but is the only one that can roll with some top tier PvE perks such as Rapid Hit and Firing Line.
In fact, with this exact perk combination, Line in the Sand becomes one of the best Power weapons for Boss DPS with it being beaten only by Grenade Launchers such as Wendigo GL3 and Love and Death. Line in the Sand has the benefit of being much longer range than the above mentioned Grenade Launchers and so should absolutely be added to every Guardian’s arsenal.
Recommended Perks for PvE
- Barrel - Hammer-Forged Rifling, Smallbore, Corkscrew Rifling
- Magazine - Liquid Coils, Enhanced Battery
- Perk 1 - Rapid Hit
- Perk 2 - Firing Line

Martyr’s Retribution (Mars Obelisk)
Martyr’s Retribution is a new type of Grenade Launcher that is known as a Wave Frame. This Grenade Launcher sits in the Energy slot as it deals Solar damage but it also has a unique effect that once a round hits the ground it releases a short wave of Solar energy in the direction the round was fired.
This effect functions similarly to the Titan’s Thermite Grenade except it only does a single wave of damage. Even though this weapon brings a new approach to Grenade Launcher gameplay, it still can only roll with fairly subpar perks. Martyr’s Retribution is not really recommended for any activity apart from low or mid level activities such as Patrols or Strikes.
Recommended Perks for PvE
