sure, 1-2 punch does a lot of damage, but it forces you to play either titan or arcstrider + liars for it to shine. if u want to play any other subclass, trench barrel wins out by a VERY LARGE margin. 2 years of D2 can't dethrone the king

Still the best shotgun for burst damage in the energy slot.

Though Treanch Barrel is worse than 1+2p as a damage trait, Ikelos remains an extremely solid and viable pve shotgun, still capable of putting out high damage vs bosses and majors alike. The fixed roll means that it's often easier to obtain than a 1+2p shotgun, as it doesn't require raiding nor grinding Gambit Prime.
