Interview
Tell us about yourself, who are you and what do you do?
My name is Separer, but most people just call me Sep! I am a Content Creator for Tracker Pro and a Community Founder of Talent Show, the clan.
I spend most of my weeks spending time outside of work with my beautiful Wife and two Golden Retrievers; Whatever spare time I have outside of that, streaming primarily Destiny 2 PvP modes. (Sleep is irrelevant, you can't convince me otherwise.)
How and why did you get into content creation?
As a PvP player for Destiny 2 and in order to prove legitimacy, I had decided to start streaming which quickly turned out to be very beneficial for recruiting for Talent Show, and the community ended up growing directly because of the Content Creators we had. From there, I had fallen in love with the idea of building a community as a safe space for people of all different backgrounds to just hang out and watch me attempt to carry people in Trials of Osiris.
I haven't thought about stopping since I realized what I had and the people that supported me.
Tell us about your community
My community is a group of individuals that all have an interest in improving as players in a non-toxic environment or just to know where they can make friends, without having to worry about judging each other based on who they are.
What do you enjoy most about Destiny?
My favorite thing about Destiny 2 is the fact that, if one thing bores you, there's always something else to go for. I have a competitive Halo background, as well as a true addiction for the perfect loot grind (thanks, Borderlands.) So, Destiny truly is a mixture of both that has really been a place I refer to as home for the last 7 years! (I'm not addicted I can stop whenever I want, what do you mean?!?!)
What is your favorite PvP map in Destiny 2?
My favorite map in Destiny 2 would have to be Burnout as its the only map I feel all Destiny classes can excel in and has a very clean flow to it for all different game modes. It is a strong go-to when we do private matches as warm-ups and stays in the competitive rotation. (also, no more dumb bright light outside anymore - thank God.)
What advice would you give someone looking to get into content creation?
If you want to get into Content Creation, the only two pieces of advice I have are: Get ready for an absolute grind, it is a commitment you have to love; Do not be afraid to meet people. Some will be mistakes, that's okay, you'll meet more as you go.
Never give up because it's easy.
If there was one thing you could tell your former, aspiring-creator self, what would it be?
STOP LOOKING AT NUMBERS, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, IT DOES NOTHING BUT STRESS YOU OUT MAN. JUST PLAY THE GAME AND MAKE PEOPLE HAPPY!
Seriously, maybe once a week to see what works and what doesn't, who was a good choice and who wasn't, what days and times are good; Numbers are important, but don't look at them during the stream - just stream, man.
In your opinion, what does it take to make a team successful?
To make a team successful, you literally all need to be on the same page. If two people don't like each other, just not communicating doesn't work, you have to settle it or find someone else.
You are a team, everyone on the team needs to be a part of it.
Going forward, what do you want to accomplish with your team?
All I want to do with my team is continue to love and support each other and keep the communication flowing! Also, winning is cool too.
Where can we find you on social media?
You can find me on Twitch, I am also on Twitter far more than I'd like to admit.
We'd like to thank Separer for taking the time to speak with us. From everybody at Tracker Pro, thank you for being a part of this journey and we look forward to sharing with you what's to come!
You can keep up with us on Twitter at @TrackerNetwork and @DestinyTrack.
